Skjaldmaer

Verse

Forn í eldri jörð

Blóð í vopnum svörð

Skjaldmær stígur fram

Hjartað sterkt sem ham

Chorus

Við skjöld og sverð hún berst

Eldsins kraft hún freyst

Kaldur vindur í nótt

Hún er skugga sem brott

Verse 2

Við stríðsins gráa haf

Hún dansar í stormans kaf

Þrumur syngja hennar nafn

Fangelsar óvin með sínum krafn

Chorus

Við skjöld og sverð hún berst

Eldsins kraft hún freyst

Kaldur vindur í nótt

Hún er skugga sem brott

Bridge

Í skugga Mímis brunns

Hún heyrir dómstaðrunns

Hefndin rís sem stjarna

Skjaldmær aldrei varnar

Chorus

Við skjöld og sverð hún berst

Eldsins kraft hún freyst

Kaldur vindur í nótt

Hún er skugga sem brott

Verse

Ancient in the elder earth

Blood on blades and soil

The shieldmaiden steps forth

Her heart as strong as her battle skin

Chorus

With shield and sword she fights

She reaches for the power of fire

Cold wind in the night

She is a shadow that vanishes

Verse 2

By the grey sea of war

She dances deep within the storm

Thunder sings her name

She binds the foe with her might

Chorus

With shield and sword she fights

She reaches for the power of fire

Cold wind in the night

She is a shadow that vanishes

Bridge

In the shadow of Mímir's well

She hears the place of judgment

Vengeance rises like a star

The shieldmaiden never falters

Chorus

With shield and sword she fights

She reaches for the power of fire

Cold wind in the night

She is a shadow that vanishes

Verse

Uralt in der älteren Erde

Blut an Klingen und Erde

Die Schildmaid tritt hervor

Ihr Herz stark wie ihre Kampfgestalt

Chorus

Mit Schild und Schwert kämpft sie

Sie greift nach der Kraft des Feuers

Kalter Wind in der Nacht

Sie ist ein Schatten, der verschwindet

Verse 2

Am grauen Meer des Krieges

Sie tanzt tief im Sturm

Donner singt ihren Namen

Sie bezwingt den Feind mit ihrer Macht

Chorus

Mit Schild und Schwert kämpft sie

Sie greift nach der Kraft des Feuers

Kalter Wind in der Nacht

Sie ist ein Schatten, der verschwindet

Bridge

Im Schatten von Mímirs Brunnen

Sie hört den Ort des Gerichts

Die Rache steigt wie ein Stern

Die Schildmaid wankt nie

Chorus

Mit Schild und Schwert kämpft sie

Sie greift nach der Kraft des Feuers

Kalter Wind in der Nacht

Sie ist ein Schatten, der verschwindet
